On December 21th 2012, XUAN Xiangliu, honorary president of Beijing Shuping Scholars Association, member of Shuping Foundation Executive Committee, former deputy director and Secretary-General of Beijing City Planning and Construction Commission and president of Beijing Association of Calligraphers died from heart disease at 83.At 9 o’clock on the morning of December 31th 2012, the farewell ceremony of XUAN Xiangliu, a respectable senior Shuping scholar, was held in Babaoshan Funeral Parlor in Beijing. Many Beijing Shuping scholars including LIN Peng, ZHAO Wei, ZHANG Tao, WANG Xiaofeng, DU Shengyong, SONG Hongdong, XIE Zhaohui, HAN Ying, LI Chun, ZHANG Junli, HAN Xiutang, WU Yafen, GUO Cong, LIN Weilong, ZHANG Jinhuan attended the ceremony in early morning saying goodbye to their beloved Mr. Xuan. Before the ceremony, representatives from the Shuping Scholars Association delivered a eulogy written by Mr. George KOO and messages of condolences from Beijing and Shanghai Associations into the hands of the bereaved family and expressed their condolences and love for Mr. XUAN. Wreaths were sent by Shuping Foundation Executive Committee, Beijing Shuping Scholars Association, Shanghai Shuping Scholars Association, Mr. and Mrs. George Koo, David Koo, Charmaine Koo and Corinne Koo.
